You have so many decisions to make when buying real estate. Doesn't matter if you're in the market for lofts in Toronto , Calgary townhouses, Winnipeg condos or North Vancouver houses. Every single real estate experience, while slightly different, usually boils down to making the same decisions. Such as deciding on what type of real estate agent you want helping you buy your Toronto townhouses, choosing between living in a house, loft, townhouse or condo, and figuring out what part of the city you want to live in.

They are decisions that every potential home owner has to make. If you live in a big city like Toronto or Vancouver, when it comes to choosing where you want to live, you are always faced with the downtown conundrum. Do you want to shop exclusively for Toronto downtown condos? Or is it too expensive for your current situation? Luxury condos can be very pricey -- but provide that combination of convenience and privacy many people desire.

Everyone, whether they want to admit it or not, unless they were raised a country kid and enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness of living outside the city limits, wants to live downtown. It's where everything is. It's where all the trendy contemporary bathroom vanities shops are, it's where all the hot nightclubs are located, it's where the major sporting stadiums or arenas are, and it's close to most major office buildings. Living downtown puts you in the heart of the city.

The only thing is that the cost of living downtown can be too much to bear. It's always more expensive to live in a downtown condo than it is a house that's further out of the city's core. It's also more expensive than living in a suburb. Why are houses for sale in Toronto suburbs less expensive than downtown Toronto condos? Mainly, it's due to the luxury and convenience that living downtown affords you. We mentioned earlier just a few of the things that are in and around the downtown area.

You can walk out the front door of your condo and be faced with 10 different eating establishments. Just like that. Nowhere other than downtown can that happen. Instead of having to spend hours a day commuting back and forth from the suburbs to your downtown job, you can just walk to your job everyday if you lived in a downtown condo. Just think how much money you would save. Also, most condos come equipped with features such as entertainment rooms, swimming pools and gyms. Instead of having to spend extra cash on a gym membership, you're already a member of one. When shopping for real estate, it's up to you to decide if the cost of living downtown is too much or entirely worth it.
